Pitman, N.J. (9/10/18) – Freshman Mary Bystrycki was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.
Bystrycki picks up her first career honor as this week's NJAC Defensive Player of the Week after a 20-save performance and a shutout in two appearances. She stopped seven shots and did not allow a goal in 110 minutes in a scoreless draw with FDU-Florham. She followed up with 13 saves while facing a whopping 36 shots in a 1-1 tie with Misericordia. She held an impressive 0.41 goals against average on the week as well as a .952 save percentage.
Bystrycki currently holds a .892 save percentage, 0.93 goals against average, and leads the NJAC with 8.25 saves per game.
